CMG2002 - Online Preliminary Agenda and Conference Planner ReleasedMonday, September 2, 2002As you may already know, these two applications have been live for a little over a month now. However, in case you haven't had a chance to check them out thoroughly, here is a brief description of their features. The Preliminary Agenda is a database driven program which allows a user to browse the CMG2002 sessions by Day or Subject Area as well as Search the entries for specific words. You also have the option of viewing the results in detail (including abstracts, etc.) or in a concise grid format. The Conference Scheduler program works alongside the Preliminary Agenda program. A user can create his/her own desired schedule for the conference, adding or subtracting sessions by clicking links in either program. All that is required from the user is an email address and a password to create an account, as well as having cookies enabled. At any time a user can choose to view their schedule, which is presented in a calendar-like format. This should help attendees plan their week at CMG2002 more effectively. Once the user decides on a schedule, he or she can download a file which would allow them to import this schedule in to their Palm or Windows CE device. Obviously any schedule that is created, is only tentative, as some sessions will move. These session changes will be effective immediately in the online version of the user's schedule. Please experiment with these two programs, and feel free to send any comments or questions to .
